How Equans supported the creation of a smart, connected workplace
The Convergence Building is Danone’s new headquarters located in Rueil, France. The site covers a total surface area of 26,000 m² and brings together a large number of employees within a single, connected workplace environment.
The project aimed to address the challenges associated with operating a modern headquarters, as well as the emergence of new workplace practices, such as:
- Supporting new ways of working within a shared headquarters
- Improving the daily experience and levels of comfort for occupants
- Simplifying employee access to building services
- Optimising space usage and availability
- Providing building managers with better visibility of usage and services
- Connecting building technical systems with occupant services through a unified platform
System integration for smart workplaces
We brought together our expertise in smart building systems and digital workplace solutions to connect technical data with occupant services.
Our role focused on deploying a central services platform designed for both occupants and building managers, which was able to interface with the BMS and site maintenance tools.
A smart workplace solution
We deployed a hub of services designed to improve daily building usage and operational efficiency. The solution included:
- The ability to book meeting rooms, parking spaces, restaurant tables and services
- Comfort controls and issue reporting through a link with the BMS and CMMS
- Guidance, access control and notifications
- Tools for managing QR codes and digital access services
- KPIs for monitoring space usage, availability and no-show ratios
This smart workplace platform connects building technical data with occupant comfort and a services app to improve user satisfaction and optimise building management.
