Head of Operations (Private Sector)
Equans is looking for a Head of Operations (Private Sector) to join our team in Wath upon Dearne or Leeds on a permanent basis.
This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
General Overview:
The Head of Operations works closely with the Senior Management Team, Project Managers and Commercial Leads to oversee and supervise multiple contracts from tender through to final completion, including defects periods on private sector domestic housing schemes carried out under various Government and Local Government Funding initiatives.
What will you deliver?
- Oversee overall operational management from tender through to final completion, including any defects periods on all private sector decarbonisation schemes
- Lead and manage the wider Project Management, Technical and Installation teams
- Provide resource planning and team leadership across multiple projects
- Work closely with the Director of Sustainability and the Private Sector Decarbonisation Director to develop and build the Equans deliver model within the Private Sector Domestic Housing Market
- Represent the business at various stakeholder events, both internally and externally
- Significantly influencing the companies financial, reputation and client relationships
- Involves presenting well thought-out solutions and opportunities to the senior management teams, and delivering operations within the domestic housing private sector, positioning Equans as the number one provider of domestic energy efficiency works within the market

Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience operating in a management position within the Private Sector Domestic Energy Efficiency Market
- Financial and Commercial awareness
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Good knowledge of PAS 2035, PAS 2030:2023 and MCS standards, along with experience of leading teams operating under these regulations
- Up to date knowledge of relevant building legislation
- Professional certification in contract management
- Prepared to work within a large geographical area
